I, Faymus Emcey, rapped at the Good Life and Blowed from 92-97 when I was a teenager. Pretty much, every Thursday night I was down there. I used to sport the curly fro, but now I am rockin it bald. I was one of four members of the Loe Lyfes and the subsequent crew Table of Contents (rappin with the mighty Basic, Fatso, and Konfuse) before I went solo. We rapped on tops of beats by the legendary Omid and my solo project was co-produced by myself (on my trustworthy ASR-10 that I got from E-bow) and the most gifted Moe Doe, known for some tracks on the incredible Volume 10's first album. I appeared on the Beneath the Surface album and a few unreleased songs with the unstoppable EllayKhule and the ever-so clever Otherwise. I disappeared from the scene in 97 in order to focus on God and I've been doin' that ever since, in addition to college, grad school and takin' care of the family. I still love the music and can't stop rhymin, nor can I get those CVE beats outta my head. Big ups to the emceys I used to kick it wit: Ellay Khule, Wreccless, Funky Trend, CVE, Omid, Basik, Fatso, Raphi, Pigeon John, Kinky, Skeelo, Otherwize, Terra, etc. etc. and big ups to emceys I used to admire from a distance, like the iconic Freestyle Fellowship and the amazingly attractive Figures of Speech. I consider the Life/Blowed an incredible era of my life, loaded with memories (rappin on stage at Unity, Acey's video shoot at the Blowed, that infamous Crow battle and the night Khule hit AK wit a chair, etc. etc.), all of which shaped me to the man I am today. I now work as a pastor in los angeles and I still bump that Hip Hop Clan in my ride.
