have u seen This Is The Life? What's your fav 3 scenes???

Mine are as follows:

1. Big Al as Jack Nicholson - because Al is too hilarious as a front stage mainstay

2. Myka Nyne - whenever he was rhyming because he's so friggin dope

-no photo available-
3. B. Hall & R. Kane Blaze (underground radio @ the goodlife founders) - because if it wasn't for them, none of it would have popped so they're the most classic people in the whole story to me.

can't wait for ya to peep if u haven't...

I have to say my favorite has to be Calistylics, The Medusa segment reliving when they were gonna do "Power of the P"... and The Fat Joe Incedent...Damn does it have to be just three??

I love the whole entire documentary, as a true L.A. native and old school b-boy from that era, it hit home. We approached the scene from the dancer (groover) perspective hitting spots like Joshuas and Club Nouvo battling crews in the same fashion just another genre of hip hop. We represented the Universal Rainbow Tribe and we stayed in battle mode and loved every minute of it. When explaining to none heads about the L.A. underground they do not get it, thanks for the memories. The scene about the Hip Hop Clan role call was tight and the Volume Ten impression by Ab was classic. The truth about mainstream Rappers biting Good Life Artist was important footage also. The Fat Joe incident I remember from back then, was on top of the list too!

Just seeing all the old footage (including calistylistics!!!) and the memories... i cant even put it into words, just so thankful to have experienced it all back then. I can't limit it to just three scenes but YES - Ab on Ten vs. Cube was the best scene to me. The way the song synched in at the same time Ab was spittin it was priceless.

Word.! Love those scenes too.

But I gotta add Abbey Rizzle's biting tutorial. CLASSICK!

And CVE's Calistylics cause its so fresh - even 12 odd years later.

Shoot, we need to start a forum with this question!
