It's all about the Good Life Cafe in L.A. circa '89 - '93 ish. Jurassic 5, Freestyle Fellowship, Volume 10, The Pharcyde, The Nonce, and many more artists came up thru these open mic sessions. A documentary DVD is coming. Peep the VIDS section, there is some cool shit, like the Freestyle Fellowship promo acapellas they did for Island Records in 1992.
